I have a goddess for a neighbour.
Really – Good Goddess Founder Natasha Geddes lives around the corner from me.

The pros of this proximity (easy access to her incredible wellness products) far outweigh the con: why is it that whenever I run into Natasha, my hair’s a mess, I’m wearing stretchy pants and my freckly face is extra ruddy? (For the record, Natasha’s glowing complexion comprises poreless skin in the creamiest café au lait hues).
Back to the pros. I’m trying Natasha’s latest product launch: all-natural, scented candles. “With everyone staying home like never before, candles were a no-brainer!” she says. “I, like most of my clients, love to have a beautiful scented candle burning at home so I created two fragrances that remind me of different times in my life.”
Like many superior-quality natural candles, they’re made from pure organic coconut and soy wax and scented with natural oils, but this is where it gets interesting. “I had them customized for Good Goddess so the scent is a touch stronger and similar to what you’d find in ones from classic candle houses, but without the designer price tag.”
The names, in keeping with the brand’s MO, are fun and cheeky. Grown & Sexy is a slightly masculine scent with smoky woodfire notes softened by amber, vanilla and powder. Natasha says, “It’s soft, but bold and super, super sexy. It reminds me of nights out when I worked in Paris.”
Bored & Juicy is lighter and Natasha says it will remind you of being on vacation. “Its orange blossom and ylang ylang create freshness, while bergamot adds a little flirtatiousness. It’s a fresh scent, but not floral. It’s very special.”
In keeping with Good Goddess’s signature hue, the wax is the prettiest shade of pink that’s only highlighted by a handsome amber vessel. “These were intentional choices so that the glow the candles give is extra peachy and warm.”
They retail for $58, burn for 55 hours and are especially mood-lifting at this time of year. Mine make me feel so good… possibly even inspired. Who knows? Maybe the next time I run into beautiful Natasha in the ’hood, my hair will be done, my pants will have an actual waistband and I’ll have the glow of total relaxation.
